  • Total outlay of the project Rs. 12155.00 lakh

    • Loan from NABARD : Rs. 9509.50 lakh (75%)
    State Government Share : Rs. 500.50 lakh (5%)
    Beneficiary contribution : Rs. 2145.00 lakh (20%)

  • Objective of the Scheme:

    1. Expansion of pond and tanks area with enhanced fish production @ 3000 kg/ha/year
    2. Encouraging backyard fish farming with the concept of “Ghare Ghare Pukhuri Ghare Ghare Maach”.
    3. Self-sufficiency in fish production & nutritional security to farmers/villagers.
    4. Popularization of community-based fish farming through Community Tanks.
    5. Training to fish farmers for enhancing their knowledge and understanding.

  • Components of the Project:

    • There are only three components under the project:

    1. Component-1: Construction of Farmers’ Individual Ponds with inputs
    2. Component-2:Construction of Village Community Tanks with inputs
    3. Component-3:Training & capacity building of fish farmers
